So apparently making your dreams come true in any arena take a back seat when you have to support yourself...I've decided to go into business with my mom and develop a new line of Gourmet Quality Latino Foods starting with our new Organic Sofrito. We called this venture Adornos Boricua! Usually we would pick this business up every Christmas in order to make extra cash for gifts and such. At that time we add things like "Coquito" and "Flanes" to the mix. The awesome thing is that one, the process seems almost organic to both of us. Mami loves to do something where she feels useful and I adore working on a new venture that I know everything about. I mean, I've been around Spanish food ALL OF MY LIFE.
So going into business all year around seem like the next natural step. It's turning out harder than expected. Between getting all of the licenses and permits and figuring out the best marketing venue, there are times that I go to bed incredibly exhausted!
The next day I wake up and do it all over again. The problem is that during the hours of 9 to 5 I'm working on someone elses dream and I barely have time to work on my own. The dilemma starts forming in my head...is it worth to exhaust myself on someone elses dream? There should be a support group for Entrepreneurs who have regular jobs!
Muah and God Bless!
